★ From Taiwan to Sydney – Our First International Diplomacy Class
Hello everyone, I am Diplomatic Cadet Emily. In my first year of high school, I participated in the National Young Diplomats Competition and earned the opportunity to represent Taiwanese youth alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a visit to Australia and New Zealand. In “The Turning Point,” I will sequentially share my experiences during that trip. Our first stop is Australia.
This journey not only allowed me to witness cultural diversity and the practical side of diplomacy, but also made me realize that cultivating an international perspective does not happen overnight—it builds up through every observation and every exchange. I hope that through my sharing, you all can get a close-up sense of the charm of international diplomacy: letting Taiwan step out into the world, and letting the world step into Taiwan.
